Mark’s vision, dedication, and commitment to excellence have built a strong foundation and earned Xtra Effort Solutions a respected reputation within the recruiting industry. While he is stepping back from daily leadership responsibilities, we are fortunate that his experience and insight will continue to guide the company through coaching and advisory support.
As part of this evolution, Mark has intentionally planned a leadership transition that preserves the firm’s core values while positioning it for continued growth. The company is now led by a passionate and highly capable team committed to carrying forward his legacy of personalized service and exceptional results. Our mission remains unchanged: helping organizations secure top talent while connecting highly qualified candidates with outstanding career opportunities. Xtra Effort will grow to include an even stronger emphasis on coaching, mentorship, and meaningful personal interaction throughout the recruiting process.
We are proud to share that Nancy and Alec Shipley have taken ownership of the firm. Nancy brings to Xtra Effort extensive experience in Information Technology, along with the advanced analytical rigor and technical expertise as a software engineer for 30 years. Her deep understanding of the complexities within IT strengthens the firm’s core specialization in technical recruiting and strategic talent placement. She also has run many businesses from daycare, software engineering consulting, to property management. Alec complements this expertise with over 30 years of experience in education, coaching, and mentorship. His background, supported by advanced study in Instructional Technology, reinforces a people-centered, relationship-driven approach. He will help guide candidates and clients through a thoughtful, well-prepared recruiting experience.
Supporting the leadership team are two key professionals:
- Kelley Lennon, serving as Lead Recruiter, brings exceptional strengths in outreach, communication, and relationship development.
- Nyl Jacobe, serving as Research Analyst, contributes precision, organization, and analytical excellence to support high-quality recruiting outcomes.
Together, this team is committed to a collaborative, team-based approach centered on one guiding principle: ensuring the right candidates find the right opportunities. Individual coaching, clear communication, and personalized engagement remain central to the firm’s process.
